Steve
Cyr's quest to and through SIN CITY reads like a fairytale. A far
cry from the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas, Steve had a modest
upbringing in a small town in Kansas. The son of a Howard Johnson Hotel
operator, the plan called for Steve to get his hotel degree at the
University of Nevada Las Vegas, then go back home to run the family
business.
This plan ended and his WINNING STREAK began during Steve's final
year of college when he was one of only a handful of students to get an
internship at Barbary Coast, taught by none other than casino mogul
Michael Gaghn. Gaghn -- immediately recognizing Steve's passion for the
casino world -- allowed the exceptionally aggressive (and barely legal)
21-year-old to lie on the catwalks with binoculars to watch the players
and the action. It was this inside perspective that fueled Steve's
HUNGER FOR THE CASINO INDUSTRY.
Steve enrolled in every course that would provide a greater
understanding of the mathematics of casino games and the psyche of the
players who play them. Now he was the guy who knew both sides --
SERVICE AND STRATEGY. It was this winning combination of education
and experience that would set Steve up to be the most successful casino
host in Las Vegas, and other gaming resort cities.
In 1991, Steve joined one of the world's biggest hotel franchises, Park
Place Entertainment. He began as a slot host at Caesar's Palace and was
quickly promoted to senior host at the Hilton. In his nine-year career
at Park Place Entertainment, there was not a single month when Steve wasn't
the LARGEST PRODUCING CASINO HOST. He is credited for having
brought some of the biggest players and winning $33 million for the Las
Vegas properties.
Steve was IN DEMAND AMONG PLAYERS AND CASINOS alike. His
reputation as the premier high roller host prompted the creation of
H-Six, an independent consulting company that would provide greater
flexibility to Steve and his clients. Named after his successful host
number from his days at the Hilton, H-SIX IS A NETWORK OF
PROFESSIONAL CASINO HOSTS who pair players with properties all
around the world. H-Six's customers range from well-known celebrity
gamblers including Michael Jordan and Larry Flynt to the most private
whales in the world.
For a young kid who came to Las Vegas with no juice, Steve Cyr is now
the guy with all the juice, marketing Las Vegas' fantasies to the rich
and infamous. Steve may have described himself best when he said: "YOU CAN
LOVE ME OR HATE ME, BUT YOU WILL NEVER FORGET ME."
Steve resides in a peaceful haven of Las Vegas. When he's not working,
he enjoys spending time with his wife and business partner Tanya,
stepchildren Chelcee and Nick, and nine year old daughter Savanna.
