What’s New in Vegas?

Cirque du Soleil kicked off the winter with the Grand Opening of Zarkana at the Aria Resort & Casino. Zarkana replaces the Viva Elvis Cirque du Soleil show that had a two year run as the headlining show at the Aria.

Cirque du Soleil describes Zarkana as “an acrobatic rock experience that blends circus arts with the surreal to create a world where physical virtuosity rubs shoulders with the strange.” Zarkana premiered in June of 2011 at Radio City Music Hall and has played in Moscow and Madrid before landing in its new home right here in Las Vegas.

You can watch a preview of the show here.

100 Awesome Things to Do In Vegas

#96 – The Neon Museum
Located in downtown Las Vegas, the Neon Museum is a wonderful way to get a lesson in Las Vegas history. The museum is home to over 150 donated and rescued classic Las Vegas signs dating back as far as the 1930’s. The tour guides will take you on a journey through time as you walk through their two-acre outdoor museum (known as the Neon Boneyard) of unrestored signs from businesses, motels and casinos. Tours are offered Monday thru Saturday every half-hour beginning at 10am. The museum is a non-profit organization and the minimum donation for tours is $15.
